1996 OLYMPIC LOGO,
U.S.
EQUESTRIAN TEAM
This artwork was reproduced on T-shirts, caps, mugs and other specialty
items for the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. Commissioned by a group of the
sponsors of the Equestrian Team, the first concept that was suggested to
us included a horse jumping by itself. We pointed out that the Equestrian
Team required a mounted rider in order to compete, and altered the concept
to include a human being. Depicting a rider seamlessly blended into his
mount, it illustrates perfectly the teamwork required by horse and human. |
